Description

Tioga Bridge was constructed in 2012 on the piers of the Youngs Bay Bridge that washed out in the 1964 floods. The bridge was constructed by Oregonians using locally-sourced timber and materials. To access Tioga Bridge, park at the Susan Creek Day Use Area and use the fully accessible Emerald Trail. There are also a few parking spots close to the bridge along Highway 138 near milepost 27. Tioga Bridge provides access to the two nearly 8 mile long Swiftwater and Tioga sections of the North Umpqua Trail.

Directions

Tioga Bridge is located near mile post 27 along the North Umpqua Highway. It can be accessed via the Emerald Trail from the Susan Creek Day Use Area.
